Drawing with Javascript!

Hi everyone! I thought it would be fun to chat about how to draw with Javascript here :slight_smile: I might do a little walk through for people who maybe missed the Saturday workshop, and if you came, maybe you can post some tips or some work you’ve done! :slight_smile:

First thing is, we followed along with this tutorial, so this is a good place to start if you want to draw using Javascript! :slight_smile:

Yay! :slight_smile:
Ok so basically, that link has a bunch of different workshops and tutorials. They’re all pretty good, so if you feel like watching a video tutorial, there’s some good ones in there, and they’re all free!

I’m just going to explain a bit of code you can try! :slight_smile: Ok so if you click on this side menu where it says ‘Challenge: Simple Snowman’ there’s a spot where you can put in your own code to try and draw your own snowman :slight_smile:

The code you need to use is called ‘ellipse’ (which means circle!)
When you’re making an ellipse, you need 4 numbers, so it could look something like:

ellipse (100, 200, 300, 50);

So that would make a circle that is at x position 100, y position 200, 300 pixels wide and 50 pixels tall :slight_smile: Does that make sense @vvasan?
